Apple and sage creamy chicken recipe

Apple and sage creamy chicken recipe

Well, Let me start by saying that this chicken tastes like Christmas to me, and I am serious!

Non stick pan with melted butter and wooden spoon I know it is still November, and Thanksgiving is a few weeks away. Am I the only one who starts celebrating Christmas in November? I hope not.

It is the perfect season to be guilt free and eat whatever you want and not get judged (everyone is doing the same thing as you) starting that new “diet” in January. Hey! No judging here (I am doing the same).

Come on join the no-guilt movement!

Apple, sage and shallots in a non stick pan and wooden spoon

I love everything I am doing here at A Scrumptious Bite. However, this has been my favorite recipe thus far (I know I will change my mind later) you see… I get obsessed with new things pretty often, and by new things I mean: recipes, ingredients, Netflix shows, movies, etc.

On a more serious note. You need to have this chicken at your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. It is SCRUMPTIOUS!

Heavy cream, apple, sage, shallots and wooden spoon

Traditionally, in the Dominican Republic, people consume more apple and grapes during December. When I first tasted the recipe, it brought back so many memories. No Christmas dinner is complete without apple, grapes, and raisins on the table.

Seared chicken in a baking sheet pan and a rack

I often try a recipe a few times, and I couldn’t hold my excitement with this one. I had to share it with my internet buddies (yes I am talking about you). Did I mention this is less than ten ingredients?

Things to consider before making this recipe:

  1. Sear your chicken before placing it in the oven. Searing is an effective way of developing flavor.
  2. After searing the chicken place it in a baking sheet pan with a rack. This will help the air circulate, and the meat will cook evenly.

I used dried sage, but you could also use fresh. I love the apple and sage combination.
