Summer is almost over which is sad to say, but it is never too late to add another scrumptious recipe to your summer recipe arsenal.

Tuna is one of my favorite things on earth, yes I am talking about that delicious thing than comes in a can. Which is exactly what I used to make this salad.

You see, when I was growing up my favorite meal consisted of white rice, tuna, and pinto beans. 

However, there is nothing better than Tuna and Pasta (combined). Ok?

Ingredients and Method at a Glance

So, what do you need to make this fresh and flavorsome Pasta and Tuna Salad recipe?

For the Dressing:

  • Greek Yogurt
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Lime Juice
  • Fresh Basil
  • White Sugar
  • Kosher Salt
  • Freshly Ground Pepper

For the Salad: 

  • Pasta
  • Red Onion
  • Tuna

The Method at a glance:

  1. Cook pasta according to package. Drain and set aside until it cools down.
  2. In a bowl combine the yogurt, grated garlic, lime juice, chopped basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Place in the fridge until ready to use.
  3. In a large bowl add cooked pasta, add chopped onion, and the dressing.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly.

Place the salad in the fridge until ready to serve.

Simple and scrumptious, it literally does not get better than this.

  • For the Salad:
  • 1 lb spiral macaroni pasta (cooked according to package)
  • 1/2 red onion chopped
  • 2 chunk light tuna cans
  • For the dressing:
  • 16 oz plain greek yogurt
  • 5 garlic cloves grated
  • The juice of one lime
  • 10 fresh basil leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Step 1 Cook pasta according to package.
  • Step 2 In a bowl combine the yogurt, garlic, lime juice, chopped basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Combine well and place in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Step 3 In a large bowl add cooked pasta, and onion. Add dressing, taste, and adjust seasoning.
